Magic Of Ayurveda In Your Glass - By - Anil Pathak

Ayurveda is a system of Indian medicine. In other words, it is a science of life and a self-healing system. It is said that the ancient rishis of India received the gift of Ayurveda from their Hindu Gods about
5,000 years ago. Whether we believe in the legend or not, Ayurveda indeed is an ocean best wellness practices. Ayurveda believes that our five senses serve as the portals between internal and external elements of the body namely- air, fire, water, space, and earth. These five elements are present in everybody and everything. Ayurveda offers intellect and brilliance of natural remedies that have been tried, tested, and improved through centuries. Its relevance lies in the fact that it has always focused on using various medicinal herbs to work on boosting immunity. Isn't that is exactly what all the health experts around the globe are suggesting to us? In today’s world, most people are ignorant of what Ayurveda is and its usefulness?
As the world fights against COVID-19, experts are reaching out to the wisdom of Ayurveda. There is a lot of noise around using turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garlic in day to day cooking and some herbs and spices such as tulsi, cinnamon, black pepper, Chia seeds, sunflower seeds, Ashwagandha, pumpkin seeds, ginger are being suggested to increase the body’s immunity.
Ayurveda is our nation's pride and even our respected Prime Minister Shiri Narendra Modi emphasized the benefits of Ayurveda and urged the citizens to reap its benefits. There are several researchers working on a vaccine against COVID-19 and a few of them have high hopes on Ashwagandha. TO help us all consume these ingredients that are the powerhouse of immunity, we have come up with a few recipes for immunity booster drinks. These are easy to prepare with a little number of ingredients and will definitely take your immune system a notch higher.

1:- Chia Seed:- Chia seed is nutrient-rich seeds which are a very good source of fiber, minerals, protein omega 3, and antioxidants that helps in increasing your immunity system.  Therefore it is also called Superfood. Here we are using honey and lemon for this immunity-boosting drink.

Method:-

1: Combine the chia seeds, honey, lemon juice, and 2 cups of water in a jar and mix well.

2: Cover and keep the energy chia seed drink with lime and honey refrigerated for at least 1 hour.

3: Just before serving, stir, and drink.

2:- Pumpkin Seed:- Pumpkin seeds are a rich source of magnesium, iron, zinc, and copper which is very helpful in boosting the immunity system and metabolism. Pumpkin seed is especially beneficial for people of diabetes. It has some very nutritious elements which cannot found in any other seed. Here we will use carrot, cinnamon, ginger, and date. Cinnamon and ginger are very useful in the increment of the immunity system of the person.

Method:-

1: Soak the pumpkin seeds in water with a pinch of salt.

2: Leave for 8 hours or overnight then rinse and strain.

3: Add everything to a blender and blend on high for 2-3mins until all the seeds are finely ground. Strain using a muslin cloth.

4: Squeeze all of the moisture out and then enjoy the carrot pumpkin seed milk within 3 days. keep in the fridge.

3:- Sunflower Seed:-  Sunflower seeds are a pack of a nutritious punch. They are very high in Vitamin E, fatty acids, and minerals which are very important for our immunity. It has other uses such as medicines to cure many diseases. Here we will use roasted sunflower and honey to mix for this drink.

4. Tulsi :

In Hindu culture, Tulsi is regarded as the avatar of Lakshmi. Tulsi has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda for its diverse healing properties. The basil of the Tulsi plant has many medicinal properties. We can drink Tulsi water daily or relish it in form of Tulsi tea.
